But biopic is not a favorite topic for producer and director as they biopic are always full of controversies and even the audience are also not ready to accept and appreciate. Now the thinking of audience are changing Neerja, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag are the example of that.

Neerja (2016): Neerja Bhanot

Neerja Bhanot was a purser at Pan Am, she was shot dead by terrorist on 5 Sept 1986, just 2 days before her birthday, when she was trying to save passenger from terrorist. She receive the Ashok Chakra “highest peacetime military award for bravery.” Soonam Kapoor played the role of Neerja Bhanot in the movie “NEERJA.”

Manjhi – The Mountain Man (2015): Dashrath Manjhi

Manjhi movie is based on the life of Dashrath Manjhi who was a labour in Gehlour Village, Gaya, Bihar. There was a Rocky mountain near his village and villagers either have to climb or travel across to gain medical help from nearby area. One day when his wife fell while trying to climb the mountain, he decided to curve the road. After 22 years long labour he got succeed. Manjhi carved a path 360 feet long, 25 feet deep in places and 30 feet wide. Nawazuddin Siddiqui played a role of Dashrath Manjhi.

Priyanka Chopra played a role of boxer Mary Kom in her biopic, by the same name. The film depicts Kom’s journey of becoming a boxer to her victory at the 2008 World Boxing Championships in Ningbo.
